Hello, ej here, and welcome to ej’s voice cast, the podcast that takes you on my journey of becoming a voice over artist.

I got a free trial with pictory.ai to create a demo explainer video on Destiny 2. I created a script, and then recorded the VO. I then pulled some of my game play off the PS5. I had to set the PS5 to record in MP3 to use the video on pictory. This turned out to not work as intended. Pictory.ai is a website that allows you to upload text or stills or even and then use their backend to create videos. These videos can be paired with your VO so you don’t have to film yourself just your voice and it will match it with existing stills or videos from their database. Or you can take your videos and stills and use their services to create your youtube content. Since this didn’t work for me I just used iMovie and Audacity. I created the VO using Audacity and imported that plus my PS5 MP3 video to create what I needed. Took some trial and error but it worked out. It’s about a 4 to 5 minute video of my game play while the audio is me providing a basic explanation or xplanation of Destiny 2. The page can be reached from the linktree URL in the notes. The video turned out grainy so I’ll work on that. It looked much sharper in iMovie.
