ej's voice over journey
My journey into the world art of Voice Over. I've begun learning how to use my voice to entertain and inform listeners. Since I just started I might as well use my voice to inform others of my path. Who knows, what I have to say may help someone else interested in this art avoid mistakes and have a smoother entry.

**[Podcast Title]**
ej’s voice cast [TK episode number 10 / episode title nibbles nibbles nibbles]
**Introduction:**
Hello, ej here, and welcome to ej’s voice cast, the podcast that takes you on my journey of becoming a voice over artist.
**Opening Segment:**
[TK Hook or interesting fact related to the topic]
**Transition to Main Content:**
**Main Content:**
- [Segment 1: what’s been happening ]
So it’s been awhile since my last post and a few things have happened.
I signed up for a couple of courses starting in April. One is with my first coach Chris Grant and that covers some things that were in the last one. Coaching, feedback and hopefully some direction. The other is an intro to animation which I’m looking forward to finding out if that's a road I want to travel. The costs for one class is $39.00 and the other is $65.00 so very reasonable. I do need to deal with the time difference as the US is still hanging on to daylight savings time. I’m still submitting auditions of course and my rate of short lists has risen but of course some of the older ones have been decided on and I wasn’t picked for those, so sad those folks missed out on my wonderful voice hahahaha.
**Transitions:**
- [Segment 2: Youtube ]
- [TK Transition to personal story or example Phrase]
They should be listening to my youtube explainer videos.
- [Segment 2: Youtube]
Speaking of youtube I’ve got my explainer videos up and slowly making more. linktr.ee/ericrjones is the link, it will be in the notes also. I’ve done a total of 4 to date, One intro, A destiny 2, Ghosts of Tsushima and currently Helldivers 2. Take a listen and enjoy.
I’ve got plans to revisit some of these later and with D2 coming out with a drop next month I’ll probably do one for that.
I probably mentioned that after a meetup here in Japan I got on a Discord feed that is setup for developers. I joined the channel and had a zoom call with Walter of Wyldeblade. It was very informative and he dropped some ideas for me to try. I posted in the chat that I’m available to do explainer videos of indie developer content. I don’t have subscribers but need to start somewhere and with something. So I’m doing my own on pre-existing content as mentioned before but looking to work on newly minted content from developers. One person has engaged me in doing an explainer video for his group's content. I’m cautiously optimistic and excited about this.
- [Segment 3: Youtube channel ]
Continuing with youtube talk I paid for the Ali Abdaal PYTA intro course. It cost a $1.00 and is worth the cost. That course gave me insight into the very basics of setting up a youtube channel. I received good information on how to think about setting up a youtube channel and found out I was already following some of the steps he discussed. Things like don’t burn yourself out on creating videos, plan what you want to do, seek out ideas on which to make videos and don’t worry about what folks think about your video’s or what your trying to accomplish. If you want to do it just setup and go for it because most people aren’t watching it anyway. I know that sounds like a reason to not make a video but in reality it’s not. How many times have you found a video on youtube that has more than 50 videos but no subscribers or found one with 1000 subscribers but you haven’t heard of it? You start watching and then like it. Then do a deep dive on the earlier videos. The other main course he offers I haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet but likely to do so in the next 3 months or so.
**Personal Story or Example:**
- [TK Share a personal story or example]
**Expert Insight or Quote:**
- [TK Include an expert insight or quote Share wisdom or perspective from an expert in the field.]
**Transition to Conclusion:**
That about finishes this episode
- [Summary of Key Points]
[TK Summarize the main takeaways from the episode.]
